Disney tidbits

It's a Small World is one of the oldest Disney rides. It takes you on a boat ride past diaromas from countries all over the world, with costumes, music and activities appropriate to the country depicted.

I commented to Leslie when we were going through it that they needed to add a section at the end to depict the United States. It would probably have overweight people on the couch, surrounded by high tech devices. The music would change every three seconds.

Another popular ride is "Soaring" -- a virtual hang-gliding ride over California. While Shannon was enjoying the ride, nearly spell-bound, she pondered, "When are we going to see Grandmom and Granddad?"

Please tell Shannon that if we had
only known you were soaring overhead we would have come out of our house and waved. We are thrilled you had such a wonderful time at DisneyWorld.
