I actually have a painting done by one of these elephants in Chiang Mai, Thailand when I went there for one of my medical mission trips. It's more a free form piece with a multitude of colors. The elephants have gotten more sophisticated over the years. Of course, I wonder how much of this was taught by the handlers. Still, it's an amazing accomplishment. Thailand has found a way to save these magnificent animals in a unique way.
I'm still waiting to get my picture framed and hung in the house somewhere.
