More Grachur photos. The beach is loads of fun. Don't worry, Shannon still has legs -- they are just buried. in the sand.

Once a summer, Doug leads a service at the Grachur's Whitby chapel. This Sunday was the day. About 30 people attend each week.

Shannon showing off her rock climbing skills. Our cabin is on the left.

We visited Grachur again this weekend. It was a mix of great times and the frustrations of potty training in the wilderness.

Chris figured out that some people just drop their pants and empty their bladder out amongst the trees. I guess he figured he could do the same but something went wrong. He came shuffling up to us Saturday afternoon and interrupted our Scrabble game at the cabin. His shorts were soaked and straddling his ankles and he was chanting "Potty."

Later, someone told he us they saw him shuffling like that all the way from the main clubhouse area about 150 feet away!

Here are the boys tossing around the old pig skin.

We had fun posing around the boat pier.

Here is more of his birthday party. As usual, he loved the cake most of all.

See.

His friend wanted a picture with him.

As you can see, he has a healthy boyish shyness about girls!

There she is again helping him open presents. They are so cute together.

We had a few friends over for Chris's third birthday. It was a hula-hoop themed party. There was a hula hoop tunnel.

There was a hula hoop jump.

There was a ring-the-chair hula hoop toss. (I included this picture for all those people who say I never publish pictures of myself.)

And there was a lot of food.

This was a proud Mom's photograph of Chris's tallest block tower yet.

Chris recently opened some gifts from out-of-town relatives and had a ball. Here he is proving he is a real Morrissey, hamming it up on the mike.

He wants you to know he loves this gift.

He didn't "open" but rather conquered the gift from Mommy and Daddy. It is an 8 foot tall rock wall attached to our swingset.

We had a lovely day together. We loaded the troops in the car at 8 am and took off for the Grachur club, grabbing breakfast on the way. It was a work day, replacing switches, fixing drawers, cleaning, etc.

We managed to squeeze in a little fun, like swimming at the pier. The weather was perfect. Shannon and Aaron both jumped off the pier (about 8 feet above the water). Shannon swam with just a noodle to hold her up.

We even made a new friend (see pictures).
